I study about an offshore photovoltaic farm where the panels will be non-tilted. So I would like to ask which data set is more appropriate to use on my study, Surface Solar Radiation Downwards (SSRD) or Surface net Solar Radiation (SSR) taking into account that the panels won't be able to collect the reflected part of radiation by the sea surface

    Dear Zaragkas,

    I recommend you to think about making use of the new reanalysis dataset ERA5. Because the production of ERA-Interim stops on 31 August 2019. Also, ERA5 has a higher spatial and temporal resolution. You will see relevant documentation at the knowledge base.
