Hello,

I had successfully open/read NCEP/NACR grid reanalysis data inside IDL in windows system.

Unfortunately, I can't done this with ERA5 data. 

ERA5 grid resolution is better than that in NCEP/NACR data. 

my question, what is the different between ERA5 and NCEP/NACR reanalysis data?

may be I have a misunderstand with ERA5 format leading to my failure.
