Yes, it is possible -although the mechanism for implementation will be quite different from the one used for ECMWF-based datasets- and some of these functionalities will be implemented in the near future.
We will offer this kind of subsetting for CMIP6 data very soon. For CORDEX it is planned, but it will be done later, perhaps until the end of the year.
