BUFR template used for ASAP soundings should be TM309052 (same than this for soundings performed by land stations). GTS headers should start with character string 'IUK' for measurements made from the surface to 100 hPa (standard and significant levels only) or character string 'IUS' for high resolution profiles from the surface to the maximum height (20-second levels). In order to distinguish the sounding data reported by ships from those reported by land stations, value 'ii' in the T1T2A1A2ii header part must be comprised between 40 and 59, included.
