Using ECMWF's Forecasts (UEF) 2022 event overview: https://events.ecmwf.int/event/296/

"Using ECMWF’s Forecasts” provides a platform to discuss the use and performance of ECMWF's forecasts and related products. It is open to all ECMWF forecast users around the world and provides an opportunity to give feedback to ECMWF on forecast performance and on the range of available products, to learn about ECMWF’s recent developments of its forecasting system and to share experiences and network with ECMWF and other users.

UEF2022 is primarily an in-person event taking place at ECMWF's headquarters in Reading, UK. There will also be live-streaming and opportunities for virtual engagement.

This year's theme is 'visualising meteorological data'. This forum is a space to continue discussions from the virtual UEF event, which focuses on the following thematic areas:

  • Presenting and visualising meteorological data
  • Communicating forecast and climate data
  • Technology to display and process meteorological data
  • Data visualisation and understanding in other fields: what can meteorology learn from visualisation examples in other fields?

New topics related to these thematic areas are welcome, and images can be attached to posts and comments to show examples of visualisation and communication of data, alongside comments providing feedback in the relevant topic below.

If your topic relates to a current or recent weather event and/or its forecasts, please head to the current and recent weather section of the forum so that the topic can be easily found by others searching for discussions related to current and recent weather.

Please do not use this forum to ask technical questions regarding the UEF2022 livestream or other virtual event software, as we cannot offer technical support through this forum. Questions for speakers during the live UEF2022 event should be asked through the dedicated virtual event software, accessible to registered attendees.
