The Copernicus Emergency Management Service's (CEMS) Global Flood Awareness System (GloFAS) was upgraded to v3.1 on 26th May 2021. The update brings a major upgrade to the modelling system and related datasets and forecast products. GloFAS uses medium- and extended-range forecasts from ECMWF to drive the hydrological model LISFLOOD and provide openly available probabilistic forecasts of flooding up out to 30 days for the global river network. GloFAS provides forecast products including initial conditions, precipitation, hydrological flood signal, flood risk and forecast skill information, alongside re-forecast and reanalysis products.
