We are delighted to inform our users that the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) at ECMWF has released today, Tuesday 7th March 2023, the final version of the ERA5 back extension data covering the period 1940-1958 on the Climate Data Store (CDS) - see The family of ERA5 datasets.
ERA5 1940-present continues to be extended forward in time, with daily updates being made available 5 days behind real time.
