We would like to inform CDS users that the EUMETSAT OSI SAF sea ice concentration ICDR product (OSI-430-b) and the C3S sea ice edge and sea ice type products will have missing data files for following two dates in February 2021: and . These products are available in the following CDS datasets:
- Sea ice concentration daily gridded data from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations
- Sea ice edge and type daily gridded data from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations
The missing files are the consequence of an outage of SSMIS satellite data. Further information about this issue can be found in this news story published by OSI SAF.
Furthermore, the C3S sea ice edge and sea ice type products for (available in the CDS on 7th March) will contain missing data the following sectors:
- Norther Hemisphere: small sector north of Canada.
- Southern Hemisphere: small sector in the Davis Sea (~90ºE).
