Yesterday, on 16 September 2020, we reported that due to technical difficulties, 1979 data in both ERA5 monthly averaged data on pressure levels from 1979 to present and ERA5 monthly averaged data on single levels from 1979 to present was no longer accessible from the Climate Data Store (CDS).
We are pleased to announce that the issue has been fixed and that the 1979 data is available again to download from the CDS, either interactively from the CDS website or programmatically using the CDS API service.
