Hi All,
I've tried to download the CRU Global Temperature Mean Monthly data with horizontal aggregation = 0.5x0.5 version = v4.03 in a different range of time ( also one year) and I receive this error:

Reason: Failed to connect to data source: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='attribution.climate.copernicus.eu', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /cdsdata/observations/CRU_mean_temperature_mon_0.5x0.5_global_2013_v4.03.nc (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPSConnection object at 0x7f7c2fface80>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection timed out',))

Same Error for GPCC global Precipitation.

Does it depend on this announcement: https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/CUSF/CDS+in+testing+mode+from+ECMWF+new+Data+Centre+in+Bologna+-+period+at+risk+until+further+notice?

When the cru temperature product and gpcc global precipitation will be available?

Regards,
RL

  1. Hi,

could you please try again now?

    Thanks

  2. Hi,

I just tried requests for CRU and GPCC data from https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dataset/insitu-gridded-observations-global-and-regional?tab=form ; they ran ok and returned data, so maybe the connection issue is resolved now?

    Thanks,

    K

  3. Hi Michela, Kevin yes the connection issue is resolved.

    Thanks,

  4. Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with "reanalysis-era5-single-levels-monthly-means-preliminary-back-extension".

When these data will be available?

    Frédéric Gayrard

  5. hi Frédéric

A CDS request for these data just worked ok for me , so it may just have been a short disruption with the connection to this dataset. Does your request run now?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  6. Hi,

My extraction scripts that worked before the switch to Bologna have not worked since.

    They systematically return this error.
