Accessing CEMS-Flood data through MARS requires an understanding of how the data is structured to be able to retrieve it. The tables below show how CEMS-Flood data is organised in MARS. For more information see the MARS data access pages.
Table 1: EFAS MARS terminology and associated keys. The keys can be used to script automatic retrievals from MARS.

Comments | Deterministic forecast | Control forecast member (single run) | Perturbed forecast members (several runs) | Fill-up runs are linked with forecast origin. See documentation below | Best analysis (i.e. driven by meteorological observations) at the time of the forecast, run with the current operational system and forcing data at 06:00UTC. | Analysis over the past 25+ years, run with the latest operational system and best available, consolidated meteorological observation. Used as reference to generate the forecast products |

Data | GloFAS daily forecasts, perturbed and control forecast | GloFAS fillup using control forecast as forcing | GloFAS simulations forced with reanalysis | GloFAS daily analysis forced with ECMWF reanalysis | |

Comments | Control forecast member (single run) NOTE: GloFAS is extended beyond day 15 by using the latest available extended-range forecasts | ens numbers 1,2,...,N-1 for type pf NOTE: GloFAS is extended beyond day 15 by using the latest available extended-range forecasts | No ensemble, one simulation per time step, forced with ECMWF cf. | Currently this is forced by the unconsolidated reanalysis | Analysis over the past 25+ years, run with the latest operational system and best available, consolidated meteorological proxy-observation. Used as reference to generate the forecast products |
