Users can request new reporting points to be shown on the GloFAS website. Reporting points are specific river points (or catchments) where detailed information on meteorological forcing and simulated flood conditions is available from the queryable map layer of the same name. Currently, only catchments over 250 km2 are shown. To request additional reporting points, the following information is necessary:
- Station ID(s)
- Name of station(s)
- Name of River(s)
- Name of country
- Station latitude(s)/longitude(s)
- Station upstream area(s) from provider (if available)
Note that changes to the reporting point layer are part of scheduled GloFAS update cycle, and do not follow a continuous update procedure. This means that it can take several months for new reporting points to appear on the GloFAS interface.
Requests for additional reporting points should be made by reporting them through the GloFAS Contact Us form.
