Users are also welcome to share their discharge data to improve the accuracy of GloFAS forecasts by having additional calibration points for upcoming model revisions (>= 4 years equivalent of daily data, that is at least 365x4 daily measurements, which do not necessarily need to be continuous) or using it as validation data (< 4 years equivalent of data). Model calibration is conducted on average every 2 to 3 years. The minimum drainage area for calibration stations and validation stations depends on the spatial resolution of the GloFAS version: information about the latest GloFAS operational version is available from Latest operational GloFAS release in the GloFAS Wiki. Minimum requirements for shared discharge data are listed in the page Share your data with GloFAS.
If you want to share your discharge data, please send a message via the GloFAS contact form, stating how you would like to contribute.
