Annual meetings for all GloFAS and GFM users are organised in order to present new developments, receive feedback on the service, and learn about users’ experience and own developments. These annual meetings are generally held as online meetings scheduled in the afternoon, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), to be able to reach out to as many users worldwide as possible.


1st CEMS Global Flood Forecasting and Monitoring Meeting (2021)

The first CEMS Global Flood Forecasting and Monitoring Meeting was held online in the afternoon of October 28th 2021, as part of the 2021 CEMS Week. The number of participants was 117.

The main topics discussed during the first CEMS Global Flood Forecasting and Monitoring Meeting were:

  1. GloFAS new developments and highlights from the last year
  2. Planned developments and upcoming major release of GloFAS
  3. Announcement of the foreseen operational release of the GFM
