The following FNMOC data coverage diagrams compare the coverage in TAC and in BUFR for land radiosonde data received at FNMOC. Green dots indicate stations that report the equivalent of the TEMP bulletins both in TAC and BUFR, red dots indicate stations that report in TAC only, and green dots with black circles and station numbers indicate stations that report in BUFR only. In the diagram for 2014022112, there is a red dot with a black circle for station 82411. I did not check the details, but I assume that TAC and BUFR provided different message parts for this station with some unique to TAC and others unique to BUFR. While there are day-to-day changes in the details, the overall coverage in terms of which countries are not reporting in BUFR changes little.–Patricia Pauley, NRL
