… have received a flood notification by email? | In the notification-email you will find a link to the EFAS homepage where you need to login in order to access the full available information presented in the EFAS Map Viewer. When logged in, you can analyse the forecast, which would be a first step after having received an EFAS notification. You can find more tips on which layers to analyse, for example, in the webinar on “What to do once you receive a flood notification (Part 1-3)”. |
… do not remember my log-in information for EFAS? | Go to https://www.efas.eu/en and click on LOGIN to the upper right. Click on “Forgot Password?”, fill in your EFAS username or email-address and submit. You will then receive a link to reset your password. |
… cannot access the real-time data in the EFAS Map Viewer? | You need to be logged in to the EFAS website to be able to access the real-time forecasts and all other layers and functions. Click on the -button to the upper right on the page. If you do not have a login, you are not a registered user for the EFAS service. |
… want to find out if my organization is eligible of becoming an EFAS partner? | There are different types of EFAS partnerships depending on the type of organization. Organizations eligible of becoming an EFAS partner are listed on the EFAS website. You can always contact us if you are unsure. |

… do not understand the EFAS forecasts/products? | There is a lot information available on the EFAS website to get started with the interpretation and analysis of the EFAS forecasts. Each layer in the Map Viewer has a legend briefly describing the content, which can be accessed using the info-button () in the layer list on the right side of the Map Viewer. For more in-depth explanation of the products, the EFAS Wiki contains detailed descriptions. For most layers, the corresponding Wiki page is linked from the layer legend. |
… detect an error in EFAS IS and want to report it? | If there is a mistake or if you suspect a bug with one of the clickable layers in the EFAS Map Viewer, you can provide feedback on the issue clicking the -button in the upper right corner of the pop-up window. The button opens an email editor with pre-filled sections where you can add a description in the text field as well. |
