The policy of the EU programme Copernicus is that products and services offered under it are per definition free and open to everyone.

Access point to all GloFAS products and information is through the dedicated GloFAS website: www.globalfloods.eu. Anyone interested can register as a user and access the available data, including the GFM products. GFM data can additionally be accessed via the GFM portal

Different solutions are provided for the direct access to GloFAS data. These solutions include a Web Map Service Time; a tailored File Transfer Protocol service; direct data download through the ECMWF Meteorological Archival and Retrieval System (MARS) and the Copernicus Climate Change Service “Climate Data Store” (CDS). Detailed instructions are available from Data access tab on GloFAS webpage.

Similarly, GFM data can be accessed through different solutions, including the GloFAS (www.globalfloods.eu) and EFAS (www.efas.eu) map viewers; an application programming interface; a Web application, allowing users to download the data (all flood product layers, NRT and archived), receive web push notifications, and configure social media connectors (Twitter). Detailed instructions are available from GloFAS website. By default, all the different access methods will provide the latest available imagery for each Sentinel-1 overpass. Nonetheless, the service offers the end users the chance to request the full time series (or a subset) of all the products archived in GFM’s database. More details are provided in the GFM wiki.

Those interested in a closer collaboration with GloFAS and GFM can additionally sign-up for a mailing list to receive, for example, early notifications on upcoming events like webinars or the annual meeting or test and evaluate new products before becoming operational. To sign-up, use the GloFAS contact form stating “I would like to sign-up for the GloFAS mailing list” together with your name, surname and email.

Finally, please visit the sections 4, GloFAS resources, and 5, Contributing to GloFAS, of this user guide to find out how to stay-up-to-date and how to contribute to improve the service!
