We are pleased to announce that a new release of the OpenIFS Data Hub with expanded functionality has become available today.
In addition to the initial experiment data for OpenIFS model versions 43r3 and 48r1, this new Data Hub version can now produce initial experiment data for forecasts with atmospheric composition, as used in OpenIFS 48r1.
If the atmospheric composition option is selected, the Hub will generate data packages including additional initial data files for the tropospheric TM5 chemistry, optionally also for the stratospheric BASCOE chemistry, and for the AER bulk aerosol scheme. Please note that no time-varying emissions data are currently included.
Access to the Data Hub web portal is here: https://openifs.ecmwf.int/data-hub/
A brief guide to the Data Hub is available here: https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/OIFS/OpenIFS+Data+Hub
Note: The Data Hub is only accessible to users of the OpenIFS model via their ECMWF account, which needs to be first added to the OpenIFS user group.
If you are a new user, please contact openifs-support@ecmwf.int in the first instance. If you have a general questions feel free to post to the relevant section in the OpenIFS User Forum.
Sincerely,
Marcus Köhler and Adrian Hill
